And since the academic year is already underway, I thought everyone would like to hear about the recent literary achievements of some of our SIPA faculty members. Who knows; maybe one of these titles will inspire you as you work on your admissions applications! SIPA lecturer  Hisham Aidi is the winner of  a 2015 American Book Award for  Rebel Music: Race, Empire, and the New Muslim Youth Culture.  The book delves into the role of America’s cultural diplomacy and how different states are trying to use music to shape Islamic politics and discourses.  Read the QA about Rebel Music  and the American Book Award  with SIPA News  here.
